Heavy duty plate and hinge, strong enough to withstand heavy road traffic without needing replacement.
Protecting Storefronts
Removable bollards are exellent, low cost solutions for buildings, in particular those with vehicle drop off traffic, that need the protection of a bollard but the flexibility to bring in large vehicles, emergency services or equipment.
Event Protection
Most small to mid sized towns and cities now host down town events, festivals and farmers markets but lack the budget to put in large scale bollard systems. Instead they try to barricade off areas with police cars or construction barricades. Our removable bollards allow cities to open and close streets based on each events needs and provide much better protection to predestrians.
Utility and Equipment Protection
Our utility bollards are used to protect equipment that still requires a servicable access for maintenance or repair. These bollards not only conform to Centerpoint specs for transformers but also work great for any area with heavy equipment.
Protecting Loading Areas
Warehouses with high-value storage items to industrial facilities benefit from adding removable bollards. These bollards provide theft deterent and vehicle protection while still allowing for loading and unload of materials or for construction access.

A basic rule of thumb in bollards is anything less the 6" diameter will be more of a deterent. 6" diameter bollards are the construction industry standard. In terms of length, 3 foot tall (above ground) is minimum.
Bolt-down bollards (often called surface mounted bollards) are used to deter drivers and are not designed to stop vehicles. These are inexpensive toinstall and to replace.
Removable bollards offer more strength while allowing flexibility in traffic access.
Inground bollards offer the most protection and are usually embedded in concrete. They can be installed in soil or stabilized yards but do not offer the same level of protection as when installed in concrete.

We do not recommend you do this. Just a few looks at the bent, broken and damaged bollards we have been asked to replace and you can see why. Many companies will swap in schedule 10 steel bollards because the customers do not know the difference and as a result, they suffer from the damage of this inferior material. We ALWAYS use schedule 40 steel as a minimum and, depending on the application, use even thicker wall steel. If your quote from a different company is substantially less there is a good chance they are using schedule 10. Also, be sure whoever you use confirms and will stand behind it being schedule 40.
